Ok, so well I just started up a few days ago and I'm having a blast.
But seeing how the new expansion will be completely changing starting skills and how we train skills to start with in just a few weeks... I find myself wondering, should I just train up my existing skills and make money for the new few weeks and "re-roll" my character with the changes in the expansion or keep this current version?
Opinions please? And if you could give some reasoning to your opin that would be great too. Thanks all!

That I can do.
Looks like they are... Per: 11, Will: 8, Int: 8, Mem: 9, Chr: 5.
Their not too bad in the balance area (Though I could go for a bit less Per and a bit more Int for mining and support skills), but with starting skills changing it seems like it may be nice to have the ability to kind of pick my destiny a bit better when I first get into the world.

I honestly have no idea what it is trying to say.
I have no idea either... At least he was trying to be helpful though, so I can't complain. lol
Though I can't stand how the Achura or whatever guys that supposedly have the best stat build look.

Originally by: Knave DesOmbres if you want optimal benefits from the new system, i would suggest the following:
1) create a new combat pilot now 2) train anything you want to try out that you can finish training and actually test before the 10th 3) dont spend any isk on anything except skills you want to try out. earn and save isk by belt ratting or running lvl 1 missions 4) buy skill books for science and cybernetics 5) transfer all saved isk and items to new character you create on the 10th. stop all training on your current character
while you continue to play your old character to enjoy the game and earn isk, follow the training steps below for your new character
6) train science 3 then cybernetics 4. while this is training, earn any additional isk needed to buy, at a minimum, +4 implants for intelligence and memory, and skill books for basic and advanced learning skills that add to int mem or learning 7) plug in +4 implants ASAP 8) train int/mem/learning skills to basic 4 adv 4 based on evemon optimized plan. while training, earn isk needed to buy +4 implants for perception and willpower ( charisma if you want it ), and basic and advanced learning skillbooks for the per and will ( cha if you want it ) 9) plug in additional implants before training from step 8 is complete 10) train per/wil to basic 4 adv 4 based on evemon optimized plan. 11) determine the optimal attribute set to use for the begining of your new characters career path. adjust stats accordingly 12) start training for your chosen career path
this will allow you to: 1) learn the game 2) enjoy the game while still having an optimized character for long term 3) no skills trained on the optimized character that you do not intend to use in the short term
for details on why i say this, see: M10 character analsys
This is pretty much exactly what I was thinking of doing. And having the 2 skill resets (Or is it an additional 2, making 3?) in the first year would allow me to tailor my stats to get my skills that I really want up faster.
